Guidance for Coaches Supporting 30-Day Challenges
The purpose of this guide is to prepare you to support a rapid (30-day) project team that aims to improve the way your organisation performs when it comes to the issue of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF). We refer to this project as the “GBVF Maturity 30-Day GBVF Challenge.” It is modeled after the 100-Day Challenge approach, just simpler and even faster!
The online guide is organised into weekly lessons designed to help you, on a just-in-time basis, supporting the team working on the 30-Day Challenge.
As of the second week, the aim is that you dedicate some time on Monday to Wednesday to supporting the team (e.g., facilitating workshops).
Thursday and Friday, you allocate a bit of time to learning something that will help you support the team in the coming week. So the Coach Guidance in the Week 2 Lesson, for example, relate to the work you will do in Week 3 to support the team.
Every Friday there will be an Office Hour Zoom call. One of the Experienced 100-Day Challenge coaches will host the call. Please feel free to dial in, especially if you have questions about the week’s guides, to be better prepared to support the team in the coming week.
The first week is an all-learning week, as there is not yet a 30-Day Team to support.
The last week is all about reflecting on the experience and mapping out your own developmental journey,
beyond the 30-Day Challenge.
By the end of this program, you will have gained and practised new skills that will be valuable for you and your organisation. It will be an intense eight weeks, so buckle up!
