Week 12 – Preparing the team for the Scale-up Workshop

Week 12

Preparing the Team for the Scale-up Workshop

The Scale-Up Workshop is three weeks away, marking the transition from a temporary sprint to long-term systemic change. This week, your mission is to help the team move beyond “reporting” and into “advocacy”. Several senior leaders will be in attendance at the Scale-Up Workshop, and the Team will use this workshop to secure the commitments and decisions needed to amplify their work.

Schedule a 90-minute meeting with your Team this week. Your goal is to ensure their “Show and Tell” presentation is creative, engaging, and far from a typical slide show.

Your Task This Week

Preparatory meeting with the team

Below is the guidance on how to help the Team prepare for the four sessions of the Scale-Up Workshop agenda:

1.Share and Celebrate:

    • Action: Design a creative way to showcase achievements and lessons learned.

    • The “Why”: In 100-Day Challenges, celebrating the “unreasonable” goal being met builds the momentum needed for leaders to say “yes” to future projects.

2. Complete the Project:

    • Action: Identify any “loose ends” and draft a final work plan for the coming weeks to tie them up.

    • The “Why”: Disciplined implementation means finishing strong; don’t let the administrative details overshadow the impact.

3. Sustain the Gains:

    • Action: Prepare specific recommended actions for leaders to adopt.

    • The “Why”: These are the “Sustainability Seedlings” you started planting at the Refresh Workshop—now it’s time to turn them into firm commitments from the Challenge Strategist and other stakeholders.

4. Map the Way Forward:

    • Action: Help the team decide on a “Forward Strategy” recommendation for leadership:

      • Reset: Continue focusing on the same area for another 100 days.

      • Build: Shift the work to a closely related focus area.

      • Scale: Replicate this successful model in multiple new locations.
